Barceló on a rainy day

Splashes, puddles and aquatic evocations. When, in 1990, Miquel Barceló returned from one of his African visits, he wanted to describe pictorially the rainy season that the place experiences every year. To do this, he used the technique of dripping, a pictorial tool first employed by American Abstract Expressionism that allows the paint to run freely on the canvas, like water in a puddle or raindrops on a windowpane. Use watercolours to try to reproduce the random rivulets that the rain leaves on the window on rainy days. The little ones will love it.
