Oozing

Eva Fàbregas presents a newly-created project based on Oozing, an installation coproduced by MACBA and Fundación Botín and shown last year at the Centro Botín in Santander. Following her usual working method, Fàbregas invites us to wander around her inflatable sculptures, capable of altering our perception of ourselves and the space we inhabit through forms, volumes and scale. This set of works has been conceived as a living organism that occupies the architectural space by growing uncontrollably, in a reference to biological rhythms and processes related to digestion, gestation and metamorphosis. Modelled by air, these biomorphic membranes generate spaces for collective experiences that can only be felt through the body and touch, while proposing new ways of perceiving and experiencing the world beyond the use of language.
