Palazuelo. Working process

Although he initially studied architecture, in 1939 Pablo Palazuelo decided to focus solely on painting. He gradually evolved towards nonfigurative work or abstraction, and from 1946 onwards he concentrated on geometric abstraction. While Palazuelo was interested in esoteric thought, the Kabbalah, and non-Western philosophies and cognitive processes, he was also fascinated by mathematics, physics and scientific thinking, which are fundamental to his work. The use of abstraction and geometry are intrinsically linked to a rational and performative process based on the discovery of new forms.
