After studying Fine Arts at the universities of Barcelona and Madrid, in the late 1960s he began to practice painting, focusing on ideas related to space and applied geometry. Since 1975, he has been one of the pioneers in the field of video and multimedia installation in Catalonia. He participated in various Conceptual art exhibitions and was a member of Col·lectiu G, where his work included video as well as objects and actions. Since the eighties, both his pictorial and video works have shown a return to Minimalist roots, while continuing his explorations into space and its possible dimensions. He is interested in ideas of variation, transformation, composition and memory, always linked to space.

In the seventies, his involvement in the Conceptual movement led him to make actions in open-air spaces such as the beach of Vilassar de Mar (1975) and to present his proposals in alternative venues including the Petite Galerie, Lleida (1972); Institut del Teatre, Barcelona (1975); Galeria Ciento (1976) and Galeria G (1976), Barcelona; Galeria A, Vilafranca del Penedès (1977); Espai B5-125 of the Universitat Autònoma, Barcelona (1978); Fundació Joan Miró, Barcelona (1976 and 1979); and Sala Metrònom, Barcelona (1981). More recently, he exhibited at the Museu Morera, Lleida (1985); Palau de la Virreina, Barcelona (1991); Centre d’Art Santa Mònica (2000); and Sales Municipals d’Exposició, Girona (2002).
