Rellotge mirall, 1990

Mirror Clock, 1990
Installation, 2 elements 115 x 159 cm c/u.

Most of Pere Noguera’s propositions work as material and objectual devices that question philosophical notions like time, unfolding and identity, or the dialogue between interior and exterior. This is expressed by intervening on the labels and packaging of everyday products with photocopies, through photographic compositions or with installations featuring glass doors and construction materials. As for his work with clocks, we should point out that in 1975 he had already immobilised the spherical face of a wall clock while the pendulum continued to move. In his Rellotge mirall, from 1990, he plays with the idea of replicating time. With Porta doble, in turn, he contrasts the constructive identity of a set of ceramic tiles with a home and the threshold of domestic space, as represented by a door.
