Un rellotge parat diu dues vegades al dia l'hora exacta, 1999

Even a Stopped Clock Is Right Twice a Day, 1999
Photograph, 2 fotografies de 49 x 60 cm c/u
Time plays an important part in Martí Anson’s work. These two photographs use a device as basic as natural light to show the passing of everyday time. Anson photographs the same interior twice – a domestic workplace or an office – with a clock on the wall arrested in time. There are no obvious differences between the two photographs: the same viewpoint or frame, the same furniture and the same clock telling the same time. Only the outside light coming through the window tells us that one image has been taken in daylight and the other at night, and that the clock, although broken, is still right twice a day.
