Born in Capdepera, Mallorca, she studied Fine Arts in Barcelona. Including traditional and expanded drawing, digital and interactive language, photography, publishing and artist's books, her projects investigate the mechanisms for knowledge transmission and also its loss. Memory, oblivion and trace, what is kept and what is lost, are notions explored in a work that often requires the participation of the viewer. Based on material taken from library holdings and archives, Antònia del Río builds interactive and empathetic installations using the experiences of the visitors. In parallel with her artistic production, she also practises art pedagogy with different age groups.

Since the 2000s, she has had solo exhibitions in different spaces in Mallorca and at the Fundació Suñol, Barcelona (2011, 2020), the Capella de Sant Roc, Valls (2012) and Arts Santa Mònica, Barcelona (2014). Her work is included in collections such as La Panera, Lleida; Banc de Sabadell; Universitat de Barcelona; and MACBA, Barcelona.
