After studying at the School of Art and Design in Valencia, Lucía C. Pino took a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Valencia and completed her training at DAMS, University of Bologna. She currently lives and works in Barcelona. She views sculpture as procedure and programming through different artistic media.  Her iconography includes elements that may transmit dystopian references to society, while also appealing to sensuality, desire and pleasure as sensitive possibilities. A dimension of sculpture in which a transfeminist sensitivity and a queer way of life converge as ethical potential and social tools. C. Pino explores the relationship between the real and empirical and the mental space, thus broadening the notion of sculpture in multiple directions. She incorporates writing in a somatic form and is interested in the performative dimension of matter. Her authorship extends to collaborative and interdisciplinary processes that include questions of contingency and class intersected by other interests with the intention of unravelling essentialist thinking.

She has had solo exhibitions at Arts Santa Mònica, Barcelona (2017), Espai 13 of the Fundació Joan Miró, Barcelona (2018), Casal Solleric, Palma de Mallorca (2018), Espositivo, Madrid (2018), COAC, Barcelona (2020) and La Capella, Barcelona (2021). She has participated in events such as the Triennale di Milano (2006), ARCO, Madrid (in different editions since 2019) and Leandre Cristòfol Biennial, Lleida (2021), among others. Her work is included in the collections of DKV Arteria, Utopicus Art, Fundación Ernesto Ventós and MACBA, Barcelona.
