Asier Mendizabal (Ordizia, Spain, 1973) studied Fine Arts at the University of the Basque country, Bilbao. Between 1998 and 2000, he was awarded a residency at De Ateliers, Amsterdam. He has since participated in numerous exhibitions, including Chacun à son goût (Museo Guggenheim, Bilbao), Beste bat! (Sala Rekalde, Bilbao), Cine y casi cine (Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid) and Great Theatre of the World (Taipei Biennial). In 2008 he had a solo exhibition at the MACBA.
