Sunny Graves (Simon A. Williams) is a Latino-British multidisciplinary sound artist and educator. Through practices such as radical field recording, deep/situated listening, curating sonic encounters and his work as a producer and DJ, his practice, output and research seek to activate the potential of the sonic environment, sound recording/production devices and sound systems as modes and tools for sharing knowledge, collaborating, healing and resisting together. Following a series of releases as Sunny Graves, he has performed and presented his work at various international festivals (MUTEK, MIRA, Primavera Sound, Sónar, LEV, etc.), institutional spaces (MACBA, Somerset House, Hangar, Museo Reina Sofía, MUSAC, Matadero, etc.) and independent spaces in the UK, Europe and North America, as well as organizing events and releasing music through his multidisciplinary platform No Skyline, leading workshops (Institute for Postnatural Studies, EINA, etc.), creating sound pieces for performances, films and installations, and collaborating with like-minded artists. His music, recordings and mixes have been played on radio stations such as NTS, Radio Alhara, BBC Radio, Noods, Dublab, Canino FM and Radio 3.
