Ruralitzem - Veus per la Sobirania Alimentària (Voices for Food Sovereignty) is a network of 35 organisations and collectives that share the vision of food sovereignty and apply it in the city of Barcelona and its metropolitan area by carrying out initiatives related to agro-ecological transition.
Veus per la Sobirania Alimentària was created in 2021 to highlight the importance of food sovereignty and the work of civil society, when Barcelona City Council organised the World Capital of Sustainable Food.
Ruralitzem was born during the participatory process of Llaurem Barcelona (2015), initially as a network of agro-ecological projects located at the foot of the Collserola mountain range. In 2019, it published the Ruralitzem.cat map to make visible all the struggles and projects existing along the range. In 2021, the map was extended to the whole of Barcelona, and is currently being updated.
Veus and Ruralitzem joined forces in 2022, based on their awareness that both networks can complement each other in their objectives to give greater visibility to the agroecological movement in Barcelona.

Arnau Montserrat participates in and is nourished by the Can Masdeu valley, an eco-social community territory wedged between the Nou Barris district and the Collserola mountain range, where he farms with Regenerades. He also articulates this agro-ecological perspective through the blog Remenat and the Mans a la Terra training courses, with the Ruralitzem - Veus per la Sobirania Alimentària network and in the framework of the Tarpuna urban agriculture cooperative.
