Martín Correa Urquiza holds a doctorate in Medical Anthropology and International Health from the University of Rovira i Virgili. He also has a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires. In addition, he also works as a consultant for projects involving health and life processes of participation and collective construction in the field of functional diversity and mental health. He is a founding member of the Global Network of Media and Mental Health and also of the Asociación Sociocultural Radio Nikosia, of which he is a co-coordinator. He has worked as an international consultant for UNESCO and the United Nations via various projects of the Ministry of Education of Brazil related to collective health and the prevention of violence. He has worked as a professor for the Master’s programme in Advanced Studies on Social Exclusion at the University of Barcelona and the Interinstitutional Master’s programme on Youth and Society (UAB, URV, UdL, UPF).
