Martha Rosler is a historical figure on the international post-conceptual scene. A multidisciplinary artist, she is considered one of the leading thinkers of the 1970s 'reinvention of the documentary'. Her work has been shown in Barcelona on several occasions, from the anthological exhibition dedicated to her by MACBA in 2000 to her recent show at the gallery àngels barcelona in 2017. She has written an extensive body of critical essays on art, photography and cultural matters and is a pioneer in the field of video art, where she explores the intersection between gender, subjectivity and capitalism. She lives in New York.
