Marta Echaves (Madrid, 1990) studied Philosophy and attended the Independent Studies Programme at MACBA. Activities coordinator for the Caja Negra publishing house, she also researches, writes and is a cultural programmer. She has written for catalogues and artists' books, curated exhibitions and participated in juries and accompaniment processes in artist residencies. Her long-term projects take on different formats. "La contrarrevolución de los caballos", "De las acechanzas", "Ese zumbido azul" and "Tres veces dije fuego" have been presented in institutions such as MNCARS, MACBA, La Casa Encendida, CA2M, La Capella, ARCO and Matadero, among others. Echaves wrote the epilogue to "Raving", by Mackenzie Wark (Caja Negra, 2023), and participates in the collective publication "La potencia afectiva. Deseo, cuerpo y emociones" (Continta metienes, 2025). Together with María Ruido and Antonio Gómez Villar, she co-edited "Working Dead. Escenarios del Postrabajo" (Traficantes de Sueños, 2019), which includes her essay "Confiad en la Piedad Química", the starting point of the book she is set to publish via the Cielo Santo publishing house.
