La Cora is the community choir of La Caldera, conceived as a weekly space where vocal work is approached as inseparable from movement and scenic action. The project is grounded in shared listening and choral performance, aiming to bring together people—with or without vocal, musical or movement experience—to explore choral repertoire and to connect voice with body, presence and stage. La Cora operates as an open and diverse meeting place, a space of care and expression where singing becomes both an artistic tool and a social practice.
The project is led by Mar Garcia and Javi Soler. Mar, a choreographer and psychologist, develops her work at the intersection of movement, voice and the creation of scenic devices that highlight bodily sensitivity and attentive listening. Javi, an orchestra and choir conductor and a primary school teacher, focuses his practice on music pedagogy, choral direction and the expressive and communal dimensions of the voice. Together they create a framework in which choral singing becomes an artistic, collective and accessible experience.
