There are thousands of Juans in the world, and he signs himself A Juan. He explores the models of subjectivisation that deform, discipline, limit and empower the self. He has had five individual exhibitions: Los posibles, at the Centre Cívic Sant Andreu, the Centre Cívic Can Basté and the Centre Cívic Baró de Viver (Barcelona, 2023); Espacio en diferido, curated by Tsering Frykman-Glen, at Tangent Projects (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, 2022); Sea Steading, curated by Gisela Chillida, at Aurora Galeria (Barcelona, 2019), and NowHere or in the Middle of Ocean, curated by Goran Rister, at Kvaka 22 (Belgrade, 2019).
His projects have also appeared in collective exhibitions, performances and screenings at the following venues: Cinémathéque de Toulouse (France); Instituto Cervantes de Dublin (Ireland); Centre d’Art Contemporain Le Lait (Albi); Galerie Lisi Hämmerle (Bregenz, Austria); CityArt (Milan); Museo de Arte Moderno and El Parche (Bogotá); Centre d’Art Maristany (Sant Cugat, Barcelona); Centre Cultural Les Cigarreres d’Alacant, and, in Barcelona, Fabra i Coats: Centre d’Art Contemporani, El Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria, Sala d’Art Jove, Blueproject Foundation, galeria àngels barcelona, Castell de Montjuïc, Sala Hiroshima and CCCB.
