Jordi Martí is a cultural administrator and politician. In November 2023 he was named Secretary of State for Culture by Minister Ernest Urtasun. Previously, he was the sixth deputy mayor of the Barcelona City Council, where he was responsible for the Department of Culture, Education, Science and Community. After the municipal elections of 2019, he assumed office as councillor for the Presidency, Economy and Budgets of the same municipality. He was also the head of the Barcelona Neighbourhood Plan until 2023 and president of the executive committee of the Barcelona Metropolitan Strategic Plan (PEMB).
