Equipo re is a platform for transterritorial and collaborative research and action born in 2010, based on the articulation of art with critical action. It is currently formed by Aimar Arriola, Nancy Garín and Linda Valdés. Equipo re's work combines actions and reflections on art archives, exhibition and critical pedagogies – as well as hybrid research methodologies – through the organization of meetings, workshops, the construction of cartographies and the production of collective narratives.
Since 2012-2013, they have implemented the “Anarchivo sida” project, a research and production endeavor with an internationalist spirit focused on the cultural and social dimension of the ongoing hiv/aids crisis in Spain and Chile, alongside case studies from other Latin American contexts. The initiative has taken different forms, including three solo exhibitions presented at Tabakalera (San Sebastian), Centro Cultural Conde Duque (Madrid) and the Research and Documentation Centre of MACBA (Barcelona).
Equipo re has developed research, exhibition, pedagogy, dialogue and debate initiatives at: MUMS (Chile), Universidad de Concepción (Chile), CCE (Buenos Aires), Arteleku (Gipuzkoa), UNIA arteypensamiento (Seville), Loop (Barcelona), Arkheia/MUAC (Mexico), Tabakalera (Donostia), MACBA (Barcelona), MAC (Chile), Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid), IVAM (Valencia), Van Abbenmuseum (Eindhoven), Villa Arson (Nice) and Akademie der Künste der Welt (Cologne), among others. Many of these actions have been developed within the framework of “Anarchivo sida”.
