Doble Pletina is a Barcelona-based pop band, founded in 2010 by Laura Antolín (vocals, bass) and Marc Ribera (vocals, guitar), following their time in Abrevadero. The core was soon completed with Jaume Cladera (keyboards / synthesizers) and Francina Ribes (synth / ukulele), and since 2020 the lineup includes Jordi Llobet on drums. Their music stands out for simple, direct, and emotive pop songs — bright melodies, vocal harmonies, and lyrics that depict everyday life with sensitivity and irony.
Between 2011 and 2013 they released several singles, an EP, and their debut full-length album De lo concreto a lo general. In 2021 they took part in the musical film Stop by Stanley Sunday, which features original songs by Doble Pletina produced by Hidrogenesse; the film casts the band as protagonists in a musical comedy. Since then, Doble Pletina has maintained a steady presence in the Spanish indie scene, combining artistic consistency, pop-sensibility, and a musical voice marked by simplicity, melancholy, and authenticity.
