Film director, artist, screen writer, musician and writer. Claudio Zulian, born in Italy and based in Barcelona for years now, holds a doctorate in Arts Aesthetics, Science and Technology from the Université Paris 8 - Saint-Denis. His internationally-known artistic and film work has won numerous awards. His last documentary, Constelación Portabella, was selected for the Venice Film Festival (2024), among other events, and his previous features can be seen on different online platforms. As a visual artist he has presented exhibitions including Vidas (2022), at the Centro Gallego de Arte Contemporánea in Santiago de Compostela, and La montagna incantata (2026), at the Fundació Miró Mallorca.
Zulian regularly gives classes, seminars and lectures, and publishes texts in different media. He has also worked extensively as a composer and performer of contemporary music, publishing several musical works.
He published the book of poetry A través del Carmel (Calima Ediciones, 2010), the collection of short stories Horas de la ciudad (Calima, 2002) and the essay on political and cultural issues Se ha votado que nosotros somos los santos (Irrecuperables, 2026).
