Anaïs V. (Barcelona, 1982) has a degree in Fine Arts and a master's in Art Therapy (Psychotherapeutic Applications to Artistic Practice). She has worked as an art therapist in hospitals and private residences, and from 2011 to 2022 worked for the CRIA Childhood and Adoption Resource Centre. Since 2022 she has worked as an artistic technician in prisons, teaching art techniques and promoting the use and transformation of materials as a means of expression. The aim of her activity is for each individual to open up a space of contact with their inner world, learning new resources through trial and error and encouraging wellness.
She is a member of the Parental Responsibility Group at the Brians 2 penitentiary centre, where various professionals are dedicated to and promote parental skills as a key factor in developing socially-favourable values and bonds between parents and children. The various activities carried out both inside and outside the penitentiary seek to reduce the impact of loss of freedom on the bond between children and their parents, while strengthening models of positive child-rearing that might lead individuals to desist from criminal behaviour.
