Voz Files A Project by Jaume Ferrete

Once again on a Saturday, MACBA proposes a different approximation and invites an artist to experiment with the potentialities of the Museum. Jaume Ferrete articulates his artistic practice around the uses, functions and accidents of the voice, and around a system of mediation with the audience. His proposal for MACBA is Voz Files: an approximation to the way the human voice is registered and emitted. Together with other projects by Ferrete such as Voz Mal and Voz Rara , Voz Files is part of a wider attempt to explore the uses, functions and accidents of the voice, in relation to sound technology and its uses, from Edison's phonograph to the mp3.

The programme Experience MACBA invites you to discover the Museum and contemporary art in a different and surprising way. Every Saturday until 21 h. you can experience a different type of Museum visit with special activities such as dance, music, cinema and performances accompanied by a Moritz beer. Jaume Ferrete (b. 1980) is an artist and teacher working in the fields of the performing arts and music. He collaborates on a regular basis with publications specialising in art criticism and music.
