Tau Luna (Medellín, 1989) is a visual artist, researcher and mediator. Their practice centres on human migration as an event marked by colonial violence, as well as on listening and memory shared with other-than-human migrants. Through intersections between ancestral, scientific and intuitive technologies, their work sets out to think and make things with soil, stones and that which is considered inert.
In 2018 they co-founded the Escuela de Artes y Oficios Electrónicos in seven outlying neighbourhoods of Bogotá. Between 2022 and 2024 they co-ran La Creatura re[d]productora feminista, a production cooperative in Barcelona, where they set up Urdimbre, the trans-feminist educational area. They have taken part in collective research into arts policies and systems of application rounds, giving rise to the Guia per a unes convocatòries cuidades [Guide for Carefully Prepared Calls”], by Plataforma Assembleària d’Artistes de Catalunya.
They have given classes and seminars in institutions in Europe and the Americas, and run mediation and curating processes for venues like MACBA. They are currently resident at La Escocesa and working on the Selvagem studies series.
