With the participation of Vasyl Cherepanyn, director of the Visual Culture Research Center, Kyiv, who will connect from the field to share the initiatives that have been carried out from the Ukrainian capital. Marita Muukkonen and Ivor Stodolsky, founding members of the Artists at Risk collective, will present the future office in Barcelona and discuss their experiences in other conflicts and similar situations.  The curator at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Natalia Sielewicz, will talk about the Słonecznik (Sunflower) Solidarity Community Center initiative, which was initiated at in the first week of the Russia’s invasion of Ukraine at the Museum by a group of artists, activists and Blyzkist (Proximity) collective operated by Ukrainian educators, artists and activists at the museum since 2017. She also belongs to the Sunflower Digest, a think-tank and soon-to-be-launched editorial platform that fights misinformation, stereotypes and propaganda that seeks to undermine Ukrainian resistance to the Russian invasion. The writer and curator of the Palestinian diaspora, Rasha Salti, will contribute from Beirut in order to open the lens, offering experience and sharing knowledge from zones of chronic conflict.

The session will be moderated by the director of MACBA, Elvira Dyangani Ose, who will reflect on the concept of museum as refuge and will open a dialogue with the guests, as well as a front row made up of representatives from local institutions and other cultural and artistic agents, as well as the attending public, both in-person and online.
