We invite you to visit An Unknown City Beneath the Mist. New images from Barcelona’s peripheries, with Jorge Ribalta, the curator of the exhibition.  

This photographic project about today’s Barcelona, seen from the marginal neighbourhoods that emerged from the wave of post-war migration, is in line with a local tradition of photo projects about urban development since the time of the Olympic Games.  

The project includes a total of 13 commissioned works, some of a transversal character spanning different neighbourhoods, and others constructed as case studies. The exhibition also combines different approaches in the commissioned works: some more topographic in nature, others more social. Although this is an eminently photographic project, the exhibition also features multimedia works in film or video format.
