Space for encounters
Transferences: Knowledge Networks and Public Activities presents a space where working sessions and project presentations will take place. A space open to citizen initiatives such as Arxius Oberts, by Cultura Viva (Barcelona City Council), with special attention to projects related to the memory (whether oral, audiovisual or other) of the Raval neighbourhood. It will also host, through ISEA2022, more than thirty talks by international artists, an interactive workshop encouraging play in a technologic space, a performance where domestic objects become musical instruments and a debate addressing innovative ways for museums to become collaborative spaces.

Alicia Escobio Alonso is curator of Public Programmes at MACBA. Her work in the cultural field has focused on the world of contemporary art, and in particular on public programmes. Over the last decade, she has worked in this field at institutions like the CCCB (Barcelona Centre for Contemporary Culture) and at MACBA, mainly on projects ranging from mediation and coordination of research groups to commissioning exhibitions. She studied philosophy, specialising in aesthetics and contemporary art theory, a background which has supported her investigations of contemporary discourse both within and beyond the institution.
As an independent commissioner she has developed a large part of her practice as a member of various collectives, taking part in the production of exhibitions, dialogues and publications.
She was a member of Leland Palmer together with Laura Benítez and Lola Lasurt until 2016; and she is currently a member of the International collective continent as well as Vista Oral alongside Maite Muñoz, with whom she directed and managed the gallery space 56x45x25 in Los Angeles, hosting artists such as Fermin Jiménez, Landa, Antoni Hervàs, Hailey Loman, Enric Farrés Duran, Marria Pratts and Christopher Richmond.

Possible Archives
The Possible Archives project is designed as a framework for activating various proposals, with the idea of remaining open and attentive to the participation of other institutions, organised collectives and all citizens, exploring the limits of what may be considered archivable and expanding possibilities of access, use and distribution, as well as the broadening of the archives themselves.
