The secrets of conservation in ‘I will fear no evil’, by José Antonio Hernández-Díez

Conducted by the artist, Latitudes and Lluís Roqué
José Antonio Hernández-Díez "Annabel Lee", 1988–2016

What is the task of the conservationist-restorer? What is preventive conservation? What are the criteria for the conservation and restoration of contemporary art? How can that which is not meant to endure be preserved? Introduced by Latitudes, curators of I will fear no evil, together with the artist José Antonio Hernández-Díez and the restorer of the exhibition, Lluís Roqué, this visit is intended as a space for conversation and dialogue about some of the lesser-known aspects of the works in the exhibition. The aim is to foster a collective and open debate on the relationship between the work, the creator and the curators.
