Presentation and visit to The Cult of Beauty at CCCB

We’ll discover the new exhibition at CCCB, The Cult of Beauty, in a presentation by Jordi Costa, who will introduce us to the main lines of the project.

Jordi Costa, head of exhibitions at CCCB, will offer us an introduction to the exhibition and summarise its main lines of interpretation, based on contributions by its curators, Janice Li, blanca arias and Júlia Llull Sanz.

The approach of the exhibition is to offer a view of beauty and how aesthetic conventions have been constructed, changed and imposed over time. The show explores these questions from a critical standpoint, bringing together art, society, politics, religion, medicine and the market, while asking questions about bodies, norms and forms of exclusion associated with ideals of beauty.
