We invite the Friends of the MACBA to take a guided tour of the exhibition Sade: Freedom or Evil at the CCCB.
Revolutionary, forbidden and clandestine, the Marquis de Sade was a writer and philosopher who has gone down in history as the great paradigm of transgression. The French author wrote things that were unacceptable for his time and left a cultural legacy of which we can find traces today.
The exhibition explores Sade’s influence on contemporary culture through approaches by contemporary artists and thinkers who recover ideas that he raised about freedom and evil.
Tour guided by Antonio Monegal, one of the curators of the exhibition.
