Let’s visit LOOP Fair 2024

We invite you to visit the 22nd edition of LOOP Fair, a unique chance to explore the work of artists from around the world dealing with issues like memory, technology and capitalism through the language of videoart.

This year, individual and collective memories are woven together and interlinked in the pieces on display. A spectral presence invades these narratives, whether real or fictitious. Ghosts of the past or the future, their poetic appearances disturb, question and transport us. They can reveal a need for reparation, to re-examine history from viewpoints other than the colonial one and to reinvent identities through language and images.

Various artists also explore how technology and capitalism continue to affect our surroundings and human bodies. AI, the voice of which is resonant of our own, manifests itself in several pieces as an entity. It becomes a reflection of our own condition: fragmented and incomplete, but disturbingly familiar.

The activity is to begin with a 10–15-minute introduction by the LOOP Fair staff, followed by a free visit.
