In the framework of the university-funded project ‘Catalan Experimental Poetry between 1959 and 2004’ (FFI2010-18880 FILO sub-programme), the research group Poció Poesia i educació is organising the International Experimental Poetry Conference: Poetics, critique and reception, which will be held at MACBA on 24, 25 and 26 October 2012.
The conference is a gathering of experts with a twofold purpose: to contribute to mapping the world of complex relationships developed through experimental poetry from the sixties onwards, and to stimulate debate around new critical discourses and analytical tools for this boundary-crossing art form.
The three lines of the conference will contribute to constructing analytical models applicable to the many different formats used in experimental poetry, map the different poetics linked to experimental poetry, and study the reception of these kinds of poetic expressions by audiences and critics.
