Guided visits to Carlos Motta: Pleas of Resistance
Led by Agnes Essonti, Albert Gironès and Eva Paià
Immerse yourself in the exhibition with the educators
Every Sunday enjoy guided visits to the exhibition Carlos Motta: Pleas of Resistance.
Setting out from a variety of languages – photographic self-portrait, performance and video installation – Motta’s work enables us to question ourselves about Euro-centric epistemologies both past and present in order to offer us alternative discourses to the dominant narratives of history, religion and democracy. The exhibition offers a journey through the work done by this artist over more than 25 years, a career that has focused attention on the body, sexual dissidence and colonialism.
Artists and researchers Agnes Essonti Luque, Albert Gironès and Eva Paià offer us a tour of the exhibition: a visit which participants are helped to create a collective narrative and a dialogue about everybody’s knowledge. On the tour they will provide clues that resonate within the museum, so that every visitor will take away a murmur of the exhibition.
