Readings of texts by Jacques Rancière

The MACBA presents a new format of theory workshop geared towards advanced students and professionals in the different areas of cultural production, centred on the reading and group discussion of key texts in contemporary thought. In this first set of workshops we will engage with a selection of texts by the French philosopher Jacques Rancière, the author of works such as Les Noms de l'histoire: essai de poétique su savoir (The Names of History) Aux bords du politique (On the Shores of the Political). La mésentente: politique et philosophie (Disagreement).
Xavier Antich is professor of Aesthetics at the Universitat de Girona, and Claudio Zulián, artist, essayist and teacher.
