On Saturday 17 May from 4 pm to 1 pm, MACBA opens its doors for you to experience art in a unique way. And that’s not all! On Sunday 18 May, we carry on from 10 am to 3 pm with more options.

Open doors to the exhibitions
Immerse yourself in the imagination of Carlos Motta: Pleas of Resistance, a poetic, political and mould-breaking journey. Plus, discover the exhibition MACBA Collection: Prelude. Poetic Intention, and get exclusive entrance to two rooms of Coco Fusco: I Learned to Swim on Dry Land, a show that opens on 22 May, although you can already see the works Artistas presos en el mundo (Imprisoned Artists Around the World), Activistas ambientales asesinados en el mundo (Environmental Activists Murdered Around the World), Periodistas asesinados por trabajo en el mundo (Journalists Murdered for Their Work Around the World) and Your Eyes Will Be an Empty Word.
There is to be a screening of the trilogy Momentos que marcaron el mundo (Moments that Marked the World), by the artist Adrian Melis, made up of Havana – Berlin (2012), Primavera Sound (2012) and The East Is Red (2013), three single-channel videos from the MACBA Collection that reflect ironically on social and political dynamics, as well as employmentstructures.
Art Live
Experience the performance Voz Mal, by Jaume Ferrete. Directed by the artist himself, the work comes to life with a performance by Frances Ribes Renshaw. A high-impact sound and body experience.

Visit the exhibitions with our team of educators, who will guide you with a critical, participatory eye. Consult times and languages, and get ready to see art from a new perspective.
