Contemporary Art. Level one

For secondary school educators

This course is designed as an introduction to contemporary art. The aim is to provide an approach to artistic practices that will allow us to examine the various artistic languages with an open and flexible approach.

The dynamics of the course will combine theoretical sessions with sessions of direct observation and analysis of the works in the context of different cultural facilities. The course also provides information on the work of some of the artists who are part of the MACBA Collection, enhancing the reading of the original sources as a basis for critical analysis. By approaching contemporary art from different points of view we will initiate processes of dialogue and explore key concepts arising from collective reflection.
