Artists in residence

Artists in residence is a programme with a mandate to support artistic creation and research centred on performative work with the body. The programme aims at striking up a dialogue between artists and the main agents associated with the art centres and their respective programmes. Since 2013 it has been organised jointly by La Casa Encendida and CA2M Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo and, from 2020 onwards, MACBA will be joining the collaboration.

The residency has a maximum duration of eight weeks at the premises of LCE, CA2M and MACBA. The times and working spaces will be agreed to fit in with the needs of the project and the availability of the art centres.

The call opens on 1 November, inviting the presentation of projects that best respond to the lines of research and experimentation of the art centres. The nine shortlisted projects will be announced on 15 December.
