Can the application be submitted by email?
Applications are not accepted by email. Candidatures must be presented at the MACBA offices or sent by certified mail.
If the application is submitted by certified mail, does a procedure have to be followed?
Yes, if the application is being submitted by certified mail, an email attachment of the certificate of posting showing the post-office stamp must be sent to the following email address: seleccio [at] macba [dot] cat, as proof of it having met the deadline.
Do I have to send the originals?
In this first phase it is not necessary to send the originals. Please send photocopies of the relevant documents/certificates(note: it is NOT necessary to have them attested).
Do I have to send the documentation in digital format?
Yes, in order to participate in the selection process, it is necessary to submit the applications in BOTH paper and digital format. The digital support includes CD, USB, etc.
Must the curriculum vitae be in a particular format?
No, the curriculum vitae can be in any style.
How can I find out my registration number?
If you submit the application at the MACBA offices, we will return the interested party’s copy of the application form (you must bring the printed document) with the registration number, together with the day and time of receipt. If you submit the application by certified mail, once received we will send you an email with the registration number.
When will the provisional list of those accepted and rejected be published?
The official list of those accepted and rejected will be published on the web once the deadline for the receipt of applications has expired.
What should I do if my application is rejected due to insufficient documentation?
There will be a period of 10 working days from the publication of the provisional list to present any missing documentation. This documentation must be presented to the MACBA offices or sent by certified mail. If the application is being submitted by certified mail, an email attachment of the certificate of posting showing the post-office stamp must be sent to the following email address: seleccio [at] macba [dot] cat, as proof of it having met the deadline.
When will the final list of those accepted and rejected be published?
The final list of applications accepted and rejected will be published on the MACBA website once the deadline for claims and other incidents has expired.
What are the next steps after the publication of the final list?
The accepted candidates will be evaluated according to the criteria published in the guidelines of the open call. Subsequently, those candidates best fitting the profile will be requested to attend a personal interview and any other tests considered appropriate.
Where can the open call be followed up?
All the phases of the open call will be posted on the MACBA website.
Can material submitted in digital format be returned?
To request the return of documentation submitted in either digital or paper formats, an email should be sent to seleccio [at] macba [dot] cat, within one month of the publication on the MACBA website of the final resolution of the open call. Within 10 days of sending the application, the documentation will be available at the offices of the Consorci del Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona, (Pl. dels Àngels 1, Barcelona) from Mondays to Fridays, 9 am to 6 pm.
