In the words… of Michela Balloi, MACBA Friend

‘Community and solidarity have in common that they mean doing something for someone else and they have no frontiers.’ We’re going to discover the community of MACBA Friends with Michela Balloi: we’ll visit the exhibition rooms and other parts of the museum, a living place that goes beyond the static to become a space for meeting, learning and thinking.

Expansion project

In 2025, work begins on the expansion of the MACBA at Convent dels Àngels. The project inaugurates a new phase for the museum, a MACBA that wants to grow in body and soul and become more inclusive, sustainable and transparent, in order to enhance the relationship between its buildings and the public space in Plaça dels Àngels.
