Artista
biografía
Lawrence Weiner (Bronx, Nueva York, Estados Unidos, 1942) estudió en el instituto Stuyvesant en Manhattan. Tras estudiar Filosofía y Literatura durante menos de un año en el Hunter College de Nueva York, a finales de los años cincuenta y sesenta viajó extensamente por Estados Unidos, México y Canadá. A su regreso a Nueva York expuso en la galería de Seth Siegelaub. Desde entonces su obra se ha expuesto alrededor del mundo y sus exposiciones individuales más recientes han tenido lugar en K21 Kunstsammlung NRW (Düsseldorf, Alemania), Irish Museum of Modern Art (Dublín, Irlanda), Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles, Estados Unidos) y Whitney Museum for American Art (Nueva York). Divide su tiempo entre la ciudad de Nueva York y su barco en Ámsterdam.
