Thomas Bayrle. I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore

In a play on perceptions in which nothing (or everything) is what it seems, a profusion of food tins, cleaning products, cars, reinforced concrete buildings and motorways inhabit the work of Thomas Bayrle. Acclaimed as the voice of Pop Art in Germany, Bayrle's visual displays ultimately subvert the paradigms of the Pop movement. This book reproduces some of his works – wallpapers, photographic collages, graphic pieces, cardboard sculptures, watercolours and drawings – and takes the visitor on an artistic journey that spans more than forty years.
