Within the framework of the government sponsored project ‘Catalan Experimental Poetry between 1959 and 2004: characteristics, international relations and relations among genres; youth reception’, the research group Poció. Poesia i Educació is organising the II International Poetry Conference: Archives, Poetics and Receptions, to be held at the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) on 27 and 28 October 2016.

This time the debate centres around the role of archives that compile videos, audio recordings, historical documents, manuscripts and unknown publications, in what might be called ‘experimental poetry’ that is somehow ‘invisible’. Firstly, it is a challenge to catalogue and preserve this kind of material, but then many other challenges arise, ranging from the visibility of these archives to the dissemination of their content (from their circulation among the general public to the creation and reception by young people within the educational environment), through a theoretical inquiry into the poetics underlying these ‘unclassifiable’ works.

The main objective, therefore, is to discuss how these ‘invisible’ archives can trigger mechanisms for visual, performative and audio poetic creation that could enable a new education. An education that is integrated in the reflection on our contemporaneity and technological advances.
