The BccN Barcelona Creative Commons Film Festival is the world's first festival for works licensed under Creative Commons, which allows greater flexibility, boosts online film distribution, and enables filmmakers to discover their audiences.
The 3rd BccN Barcelona Creative Commons Film Festival will be held from 10 to 13 May at MACBA. Documentaries, short films and feature films from around the world all have a place in the programme. In addition, this year's special guest discipline is music, which will be featured in the related activities.
The BccN Barcelona Creative Commons Film Festival is also an opportunity to come together and discuss relevant issues, and to share knowledge and experiences. The four-days dedicated to spreading a freer culture will get underway with an interesting roundtable on the funding and distribution of works licensed under Creative Commons.
Under the slogan "copy the festival", the 2012 BccN festival at MACBA will kick off an event that will tour the planet in the form of "copies" throughout the year.
