Communities

Twitter

MACBA currently runs two Twitter profiles:

@MACBA_Barcelona brings you the latest news and the internal ins and outs of MACBA. On this account, we share content that complements the Museum’s activities and exhibitions, along with some scoops for our followers. Here you can ask questions about the Museum, start a debate, or simply share photos of your latest visit.

@Radio_Web_MACBA is the account for MACBA’s radio project. Newly released and archival RWM Podcasts mixed with a careful selection of content related to art, sound, science, technology and experimental music. We also regularly publish content and previews exclusive to our followers.

Facebook

MACBA’s Facebook page offers information on exhibitions and activities, and a special selection of content that broadens and analyses the discursive lines of the Museum.

Flickr

There are two MACBA accounts on Flickr:

MACBA gives you an insight into the day-to-day running of the Museum through a selection of photographs showing some of our regular activities: exhibition set-ups, the restoration of artworks, interviews with artists and reports of all kinds. We invite you to add comments, download our photographs, and also to add your best photos of the Museum to the Your MACBA group.

Arxiu MACBA is the account run by the MACBA Study Centre. Here you will find a selection of images of documents and materials relating to contemporary artistic practices: photographs, artists’ books, magazines, fold-outs and invitations, among other materials and curiosities. You can participate by contributing information, adding tags and submitting comments.

YouTube

On Youtube, three channels zero in on different areas of the Museum’s activities:

On MACBA_Webmaster you can watch the Sèrie Capella MACBA videos in which artists talk about their works and the creative process behind the projects presented at La Capella. You can also access the FONS series, where artists explain their works from the MACBA Collection. Most of these videos are subtitled in Catalan, Spanish and English.

MACBAeducacio
focuses on the educational activities that take place in the Museum. You can learn about the guided tours, workshops and activities for families and younger visitors that take place at the MACBA every week.

MACBApress is a channel that provides easy access to the press videos that introduce each new exhibition for media professionals. Featuring curators and artists, the videos are available in three languages (Catalan, Spanish and English), and are an ideal introduction to the Museum’s exhibition programme.

Vimeo

If you prefer to watch, share and comment on Vimeo, you can also follow us on the MACBA account, which offers a selection of interviews with artists and curators, as well as special capsules related to the Museum’s exhibitions and activities.

Issuu

MACBA_publicacions offers information on the digital publications issued by the Museum. Here you can read or download a selection of essays, magazines, books and other materials that document and enhance MACBA’s exhibition programme.
