Through his reflections on concepts such as desire, ethics and responsibility, William Kentridge explores the possibilities of poetry in contemporary society. For the MACBA exhibition featuring his work from the nineties, Kentridge made this artist’s book consisting of a flipbook based on a facsimile of Curs pràctic de gramàtica catalana (1993) by Jeroni Marvà. The images gradually vary from page to page so that on flipping through them they appear to move.
