Art and Utopia. Restricted Action
In 1970, Marcel Broodthaers stated that Mallarmé was the source of contemporary art. That affirmation became the springboard for the exhibition Art and Utopia (MACBA, 2004), a reinterpretation of twentieth-century art that extended from Cubism and the historical avant-garde to the art of the 1960s. This catalogue includes a wide range of documentary material, poems and other literary texts, as well as reproductions of the works presented in the exhibition.
