MACBA FOR FAMILIES. Special edition

Confetti Happening
Family workshop
Museum Atrium, 11 am to 7 pm

We invite the whole family to participate in a great collective experience full of provocation, improvisation and spontaneous public involvement. A set of actions that will trigger the emotions of the participants and which, by taking over the Museum in a creative manner, will leave traces of this ephemeral experience.

Mini-technologists in action!
Family workshop
Espai Taller, 11 am and 4.30 pm

We invite children and adults to create their own mobiles. During the process of creation we will experiment with textures and colours and discover other properties such as electricity and conductivity. Mobiles will become a playful tool to manipulate a projection on the ceiling that will interact with the sounds in the space. A collective experience of physical stimulation and exploration of the audiovisual world through personal creations.

New family space!
11 am to 5 pm

A new play and rest area with changing facilities, microwave and small mattresses for the little ones to eat, sleep and play. On that day we will present the project Build a Sound by Mónica Rikic, as a complementary activity.

EXPERIENCE MACBA. Special edition
Venue: Museum Atrium DANCE, 8 pm
Les Filles Föllen
Thank You for Dancing

Four Little Red Riding Hoods run out from the other side of the forest, the wolf hides and neither the mother nor the grandmother has anything to do with this story. The forest indicates the way. Thank You for Dancing is a show with six performers and the audience: a live videogame, an analogue and participatory experience where the audience, thanks to its ‘artificial intelligence’, goes up levels and builds part of the choreography.

CONCERTS, from 10 pm
Internet2
Mi hijo

Mi hijo is a new show by Internet2 on childhood, or on the new childhood and other perceptual experiments attempting to explain ways of understanding children. Initially presented in the form of a lecture, this is followed by other performative elements from Internet2’s recent trajectory: live video, recorded music, dance and poetry.

Arponera
Taking as its starting point a series of historical and literary events, the Arponera group weaves a musical story that grows and mutates with the passage of time and the changes of scenery. This becomes a story of stories told in the space where legends begin and end: around the fire, by the river, in the woods.

Flamaradas
The alter ego of Daniel Magallón, co-founder of Producciones Doradas together with Joe Crepúsculo and Daniel Granados (Tarántula). Coming after Cancionero Saturnino, Pasaje entre las cañas represents Flamaradas’ return to the stage.
